Vroom Vroom! I had the absolute pleasure of taking the Henparty Central Moped to Mullingar and joining a wonderful group at The Victorian Escapade experience on Saturday night.  Situated in Mullingar, Victorian Escapade gives everyone the opportunity of experiencing life as it was during the Victorian era.  Arriving at the Old Manor I was blown away by the breath taking surroundings and the beautiful old building that awaited us when Wilma goes to Mullingar – August 2014

It wasn’t long before everyone was truly in character, dressed as servants of the Manor and partaking in a few old household chores!

The Chamber pot race provided much laughter and fun for the group especially when the contents of the Po (mi wadi orange) soaked many of the unsuspecting guests .After a few more household chores we enjoyed a selection of delicious canapés washed down with a glass of vino.

We then returned to the dressing room to become ladies of the Manor.  The dressing up alone was so enjoyable and I was again blown away by the stunning dresses, hats and fur stoles that were at our disposal.  We proceeded to the drawing room for an oul dance before dinner and a highly entertaining murder mystery game.

A candle lit Dinner awaited us in the dining room served by two handsome Butlers, it was the perfect way to end a most enjoyable evening.  The food was delicious and the selection of deserts mouth-watering.  The whole evening truly was an amazing and authentic experience.

Victorian Escapade offers a totally original style of Hen party and truly offers an alternative experience to the’ uniform’ hotel.  For obvious reasons we do not want to give it all away so this is only a very small insight into the wonderful experience Victorian Escapade offers.

Vroom Vroom! Our Wilma was having a little wander again and this weekend she took the Henparty Central Moped to Galway to suss out which places were the happening spots and where would be the best places for our groups to party in.  First of all we were delighted to this week partner with The Western Hotel – right in the centre of Galway City. This hotel offers both options of hotel or self catering accommodation. Both the hotel and apartments are absolutely lovely, with the apartments really being a cut above anything else I have seen in Galway so far. Some if not most of the apartments are over looking Eyre Square which was really exciting. The hotel is also lovely with great staff and lovely comfortable, clean and up to date accommodation perfect for any girly group. This weekend I made my way to the sunny South East, Waterford City. I always find Waterford city to be very cosmopolitan by way of its diverse range of activities, pubs, clubs, shops and most amazing restaurants. I have visited here a number of times before and our lovely hotel partners for Waterford had kindly invited myself and a couple of friends to come along to experience first hand how our groups receive the royal treatment, so without hesitation we loaded up the car and off we headed to Waterford. The Hotel is a Castle Hotel on the outskirts of the city. Our accommodation was a self catering lodge which suited us fine as we wanted to be all together for a good girly catch up. These lodges can sleep 4-6 people in them. When we arrived, we were delighted to walk into some complimentary prosecco laid on for us by our good friends/partners at the hotel, which is a given for any hen party arriving too. It was lovely so I could really get a sense of how our groups feel and what they experience as they arrive and spend their weekend here. Being on the grounds of this beautiful hotel really made us feel so excited and special. We relaxed in the lounge of our lodge for a while sipping our prosecco and then made our way over to the castle where we were having our dinner. We dined in our very own room in the Castle (other alternative is to eat in the club house) which would be fantastic for any group to have their own private dining area in the castle. This was a 4 course meal and all I can say was wow, it was absolutely delicious. Of course the bubbly was lovely too to compliment it. We were having such a good time here that we could have stayed on for longer but we said we better sample some of the night life whilst we were down, sure it would be rude not We took a limo from the island into the city centre which again was put on for us by the hotel and this is also part of your package with us when you book this location through us. We had such a craic on the way in. Like celebrities we bundled out of the limo and headed into the Kazbar which is by far one of the best spots in the City. The Kazbar are fantastic hosts for any of our groups and always put on a great show for you by means of finger food and the best music in the town. We weren’t let down we had our very own reserved seating area with a glass of bubbly provided complimentary. You can also come in a bit earlier and do a cocktail making class in one of the upper floors. There are 3 floors in this bar in total all offering entertainment to suit everyone. We stayed on the ground floor, why move when we had our own seats too. The music was just brilliant and we literally danced here til the early hours (late bar). Right outside is a taxi rank which was so handy to bring us all back to the lodge. To say we had a great night was an understatement, we are still tired but it was well worth it. For any groups travelling to Waterford it is so accessible as you have your train station, bus station, airport and motor way leading in from everywhere. I would highly recommend you to have a look at the great package we have available for this location. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed. There are so many activities that you can tie in with this package that if I were to start listing them you would be here reading all day. But lets just say we have everything from Water Sports to Zamba Dancing to Makeup Classes to Cruises. email the girls at Hen Party Central for further information on this great great location. So for my first stop off I headed for Kilkenny. I always get such a feeling of suspense and excitement upon entering Kilkenny and that feeling was just as I had hoped and and even greater with the festive lights and Christmas cheer that was filling the busy Saturday night streets. Arriving to my hotel, I was given a very friendly welcome by the young girl at the reception desk and I could not help… but feel an instant feeling of warmth and cosiness which was created by the lovely fire that was lit along with the general warmth and laid back atmosphere in the hotel. Just to mention the parking was great, Car Parking is available in the Ormonde Street Multi Storey Car Park. This is a public car park which is located directly opposite the side entrance of the hotel. The hotel covers the overnight parking charges in this car park from 6pm each evening until 12 noon the following day, for each night of your stay. Outside of the hours which the hotel covers, a fee of €1.50 per hour applies for parking. My bedroom was very inviting, clean, warm, cosy and comfortable – just what you would expect it to be. After dolling myself up and throwing on my dancing shoes I went across to check out the Left Bank, Kilkenny. There was a great buzz in there and lots of space. It was one of the finest bars I have been in with amazing interior that was quite something to look at. The atmosphere was electric with lots of spacious snug areas which offer excellent seating areas for private parties and while your at it, take in a cocktail class to really give your party a great start to the night. By all accounts the mixologists here are amongst the best in town. After a couple of glasses of Prosecco it was time to make my way for dinner in the Hibernian City Bar & Grill and to say fab food was an understatement. The menu selection was absolutely brill with great choice and the food that followed was nothing short of delicious with a complimentary glass of prosecco too which was a lovely little treat I must say. I overdone it on the selection of desserts but nothing the resident dj afterwards didn’t sort out with all the dancing we did to work off the meal. We didn’t even have to leave our table. The staff cleared away some of the tables to give way for some leg room for the dance floor but our table didn’t need to be moved. We danced the night away here and had an absolute epic night. I definitely would recommend Kilkenny to our Hen Party groups as a location to celebrate your Big Night as it has so much to offer by means of hotels, restaurants, bars & clubs along with activities that will keep you all entertained by day – the list is endless to what you could do by day. But as I was only here for the night I carefully chose my spots that I wanted to try out so I could tell you all about them.
