The message from the groom doesn’t have to be long just a few sentences on why he loves the hen so much and his well wishes for her last night of freedom. Just ask the groom in advance of the hen to compose a short message and give it to you before you go.

The message from the groom can be read out at the hen party dinner by one of the brides closest family or friends in the hen party group or it can be left as something private for the brides eyes only. Just be warned whether the bride reads it herself or not there are bound to be a couple of tears of happiness shed.

Give each of the groups a list of items or tasks at the start of the day that they are each required to bring back or take a picture of them doing by the end of the party. The crazier the tasks the better.

Some items and tasks may include a photo with a stag from another group, a random person’s number/business card, an item of clothing (a sock counts) the weirder the better. The hen party group with the most items and tasks on their list completed wins a free shot.
